15 supervisors from ENPI GROUP have obtained certifications for successfully completing their IOSH Managing Safely training. The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) standard is the number one health and safety course for industrial line managers or supervisors developed and conducted from the UK.
This course will help our colleagues to increase productivity by reducing downtime caused by accidents, to promote a positive safety culture within the organization and to encourage all staff to actively improve the workplace safety standards. The internationally recognized certification awarded to the colleagues is also a proof of our effort for continuous improvements at ENPI GROUP.

ENPI GROUP is pleased to announce that it has signed a Shariah-compliant bank facility agreement of AED 475 million with Commercial Bank of Dubai.
The financing consists of a long-term loan of AED 375 million, to be repaid over 8 years, and a short-term financing of AED 100 million

AED 275 million of the long term facility will be used in early settlement of outstanding facilities with other banks and AED 100 million in financing of capital projects. The AED 100 million short-term financing will be used to fund working capital.

ENPI GROUP CEO got the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine over the weekend, and encourages everyone to do the same. Being inoculated not only protects ourselves, but we also take responsibility for others like family, friends and coworkers.
We hope that by March 2021, 80% of our employees will have received their first vaccine against Covid-19.

Dear colleagues,
Last year was one like no other.
The constant pressure challenged us all.
However, we not only managed to prevail, but made many improvements to our company and will get out of this pandemic stronger than we were when it started.
I am so very grateful that, although we had a number of positive Covid 19 cases, all of our colleagues have fully recovered.
Importantly, due to your commitment and personal dedication, and unlike other companies in our sector, we managed to serve our customers without a single day of downtime at any site during this difficult period.
The management team and myself thank you for this.

Forests play a critical role in the health of global ecosystems by providing an important habitat for wildlife, promoting clean water, preventing soil erosion and mitigating the effects of climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

They provide materials that are used in many everyday products like wood, paper or natural rubber. Forests that are managed responsibly can, provide these materials indefinitely.

Health and safety is an important topic at the ENPI GROUP. Therefore a group of volunteers at the Corporate Office received a FIRST AID TRAINING and refreshed their knowledge on specific techniques to apply first aid. We thank them for their enthusiasm to be prepared to help others. All of the participants received a certification for completion of the course.

Future Film (member of ENPI GROUP) Announces Successful Go-live on ERP INFOR latest version!

INFOR is an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) application being used at ENPI GROUP. The upgrade to the latest version has various advantages that will move ENPI GROUP business application into the next level of business processes and innovations.
Despite many challenges due to the Covid pandemic, the ERP and IT team were able to successfully go live with the project thanks to great support and commitment provided by all colleagues involved.
Process owners and teams therefore were awarded certification of achievement for their valuable contribution to the project development and finalization.

A valuable resource: PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) plastic bottles.
Did you know that PET bottles can be completely recycled and returned into new bottles?
After being disposed of properly and collected, they should head to sorting facilities instead of the environment!
In the first step of being recycled, the bottles are sorted, the labels are removed and the bottles and caps are cut into small pieces, known as flakes. Used PET bottles of specific colors are pressed together, and taken to a plant to be processed into a material called rPET (Recycled PolyEthylene Terephthalate).
There, the bottles and caps are cut into into small pieces, known as flakes. The flakes are then washed, dried, melted in an extruder and then granulated. This raw material is now called rPET (Recycled PolyEthylene Terephthalate) and is tested to assure the quality for food safety use.
The rPET is now ready to be reused in the manufacturing of new preforms, from which new PET bottles are made. And the whole process can start all over again!

ENPI GROUP is proud to announce that Wasim Shaheen, one of our internal auditors, has won the Fitness Challenge organized by HOWDEN and their partners ‘Fit on Click’, supported by Dubai Sports Council.

The event took place on the 5th and ended on the 14th of July 2020. The challenge was to reach 100,000 steps during this period, and we are delighted that out of over 1200 participants, Wasim had the highest numbers of steps recorded: 196,061 steps in 10 days!

Thank you Howden for organizing this Fitness event (the first event of this magnitude post Covid 19 lockdown), and special thanks to all the healthy applicants that participated!

Did you know?
There are many steps in the production of a water bottle:
– First the PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is heated to 185°C and melted.
– This melted plastic is then injected into molds that define the shape and size of the so-called preforms. These preforms are the precursor of any water bottle and look somewhat like test tubes.
– At the water companies, these preforms are then re-heated and placed in bottle shaped blow molds, where high-pressured air inflates them to fill the molds and give them their final shape.
– This final bottle is then filled with water or soda, ready to be sold.
All manufacturing procedures of preform involve strict quality monitoring systems and controls as well as FDA-approval to meet high quality and health requirements.

Food for thought:
PET bottles are extremely strong, colorless and the most lightweight option that exists today. If all plastic bottles used globally were made from glass instead, the additional carbon emissions would be equivalent to 22 large coal fired power plants producing enough electricity for a third of the UK.

ENPI is closely monitoring recent developments concerning the coronavirus pandemic, and is taking all necessary measures to ensure the wellbeing of employees and to prevent any potential business impact.

Everyday, ENPI updates its employees on further measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus and ensure business continuity.

ENPI Management has taken several proactive measures across all the sites to prevent employees from being infected. The key measures include, but not limited to:

a) Temperature measures for all staff twice a day and anyone with flu symptoms are given immediate medical attention.
b) Disinfection of accommodations, work area and company vehicles are done periodically by approved external company and by internal team on
regular basis.
c) Entry of visitors is restricted wherever possible, sub-contracting staff minimized and their living conditions are closely monitored (accommodation, temperature, etc.).
d) Isolation rooms are kept ready to support the sick people in case needed.
e) Adequate hand sanitizer, soap and PPE are provided to all staff like face masks, gloves and face shields.
f) Awareness / reminder posters on COVID-19 are updated at prominent locations.

Top management is in constant contact with all heads of Business Units.
Regular site and accommodations visits are taken every week, as well as discussions about employees’ needs to get through these unusual times.

We reassure our people that the company is well, and the future with ENPI is promising.
